Commonly Asked Questions

What information do I need to prepare my will?

In preparing a will, we would usually require the following information but depends on a case-by-case basis.
Personal Information such as full name, residential address, NRIC and passport number which matches your official documents;
Your marital status;
Your executor’s personal details including name, contact details and ID. Your chosen executor is the person responsible for carrying out your will.
Your beneficiaries’ personal details including full name, ID, address and your relationship to you. Your beneficiary is the person or organization who will inherit your assets.
List of your assets (property, bank accounts etc.) and liabilities (loans, credit cards, stocks/shares) including any special assets that is meaningful to you e.g. a piece of jewellery meant for someone you love or care for.
Guardianship details if you have young children;
Special instructions e.g. creating a trust or charitable organization or funeral arrangements.

Each case is different as each person’s requirements are different. The above is to help you think through some of the issues in advance before a meeting with us.

How long does the process take?
